Myrtle Beach

Our first full day at Myrtle Beach and it was really nice. Jim and I started the day at Myrtle's Donna's Kitchen. Had the regular "Quick Pick", eggs, grits, wheat toast, bacon. Judy and Bonnie slept late. Then, we strolled the beach and picked up shells. I really found some beauts.

Judy is still feeling well and is just moving on like nothing has happened out of the ordinary. But, isn't that what you would expect of her? The boys went to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers baseball game. Anyone know what a chanticleer is? Please respond if you do.

We'll be talking to you again tomorrow.

Hi Ronnie and Judy--glad you are enjoying Myrtle Beach. Chanticleer means rooster! Will see you both next week. Lots of love. Betsy

  5. A Chanticleer is a proud rooster from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Ronnie Rawls is a nice young man who would MC the football banquet or perform at the Church social. Cal Rogers was a Chanticleer who would ride bulls under an assumed name so his Mother would not know who was in the arena.
