Judy has been having some symptoms lately so she has been keeping a journal of the episodes and their severity. Doc didn't like what he saw, so we have a plan for now to determine if she has blockage in her small intestine, causing the pain and nausea.
We are going to have an octreotide scan in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, the scan will help us to determine if the tumor in the bowel is causing a blockage. We will then visit with an Oncology Surgeon and then consult with our regular Oncologist. Once we have all these ducks lined up (whether surgery is recommended or not), we will make a visit to M D Anderson. We will seek a second opinion from them regarding the test findings and the consults.
Judy and I are confident with our medical team. We are OK with surgery if that's the best course for us to take. God has used Judy in some mighty ways since she was diagnosed in March 2010. We still pray for a miracle of complete healing, but if that isn't what He has in mind, we will continue to praise Him and serve Him down any path He takes us.
We talk to people almost every day who tell us they are praying for us. We can't possibly tell you how blessed we feel, having brothers and sisters like you. So, at this time, would you pray that between now and the next 3 weeks, we will have an uneventful respite. God bless you all,
Judy and Ronnie
